Well, hello there… My name is Kathryn and I am the co–creator of the really rather marvellous Pity Party. I’m in my early thirties and live in Chelmsford, Essex, with my husband, although I commute to London every day for my job in healthcare regulation. (It really is as thrilling as it sounds.)
My passions are for fashion, style, books, music, and family. I’m a Taurus who sees eating as a competitive sport, has the occasional battle with depression, and is obsessed by the David Guetta track “Titanium”.
What can you expect from me? Well, hopefully a little bit of fashion, a sprinkle of beauty, lots of real life, and a shed load of humour. In short, all of the pity and all of the party that makes up the existence of a very ordinary thirty–something.
Nice to have your company.
I’m Laura and I believe I am destined for great things, despite all evidence to the contrary. I’m the showier, taller, mouthier half of the Pity Party twosome.
I’ll definitely give you unwelcome advice on clothes and make-up, but I shall sprinkle liberally the fruits of my fevered mind: social commentary, feminist musings, critical analysis (sort of). I don’t think I can say it better than anyone else: I just want to say it my way.
I manage a small charity in West London and very much enjoy telling people this at weddings and dinner parties because when I worked in the City they looked at me with hatred in their eyes.
